Class VI Partners Represents Kratos Industries in Its Acquisition by Legrand

Class VI Partners (“Class VI”) is pleased to announce that Kratos Industries (“Kratos” or the “Company”), a Colorado-based manufacturer of low- and medium-voltage switchgear and power distribution equipment, has been acquired by Legrand SA (EPA:LR) (“Legrand”), a global leader in electrical and digital building infrastructures. Class VI served as the exclusive financial advisor to Kratos in this transaction.

“Tom has built something truly exceptional at Kratos Industries,” said Alex Woolford, Director at Class VI Partners. “What began as an entrepreneurial vision quickly evolved into a best-in-class platform serving some of the most demanding, mission-critical applications in the market. Along the way, Tom demonstrated extraordinary resilience, conviction, and a willingness to take calculated risks in order to build a business defined by quality, speed, and customer commitment. His leadership and integrity have shaped not only a high-performing organization, but a culture that people genuinely want to be part of. We are incredibly proud to have partnered with Tom on this journey and to help align Kratos with Legrand—a global leader that will accelerate the Company’s next phase of growth and further amplify the foundation he worked so hard to build.”

“Class VI is a true partner,” said Tom Huseas, Founder and CEO of Kratos. “I began working with the team nearly 10 years ago, and without their partnership and support, I would never have been able to grow Kratos the way we did. There were plenty of hard moments over the past several years when Class VI could have stepped away—but instead, they chose to lean in, help guide us through rough waters, and see us through to the other side. I could never have taken the business as far as I did without their help, and because of that partnership, Kratos now has an exceptional new owner to take the Company to unimaginable heights.”

This strategic acquisition positions Kratos for continued growth and innovation. The partnership will enable the Company to expand its manufacturing capabilities, broaden its product portfolio, and extend its reach into new markets while continuing to deliver exceptional service to its existing customer base.

For Legrand, this acquisition represents a major advancement in its data center strategy and strengthens its manufacturing footprint in North America. Kratos will join Legrand’s Data, Power & Control (DPC) division to support data centers in meeting the escalating demands of AI and high-density compute environments.

“We’ve had the opportunity to know Tom and his team for several years,” said Matthew Petterson, Director at Class VI Partners. “It was an honor to work alongside someone who is so passionate about the Kratos mission, team, and customers, along with the Colorado community. We’re excited that Tom found a great partner in Legrand to continue building on the Kratos legacy.”

“Tom’s vision and determination are reflected in every dimension of Kratos Industries, from the caliber of the team he’s assembled to the reputation the Company has earned as a leader in its industry,” said Zach Solomon, Vice President at Class VI Partners. “His entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to building an outstanding organization from the ground up are evident in everything the Company has accomplished. We’re thrilled about this partnership with Legrand and look forward to what will surely be a highly successful next chapter for Kratos.”

Founded in 2020, Arvada, CO-based Kratos Industries has rapidly established itself as a trusted provider of mission-critical low- and medium-voltage electrical equipment. Leveraging vertically integrated fabrication capabilities and an extensive portfolio of UL certifications, Kratos designs, engineers, and manufactures a comprehensive range of power distribution solutions that include MV switchgear, LV switchboards, generator-mounted breakers and docking stations, automatic transfer switches, power panels, and control panels.

Kratos serves a vital role in enabling reliable power infrastructure for both new construction and retrofit projects across high-growth sectors. The Company’s solutions support the accelerating demand for electrification and backup power in data centers, EV charging infrastructure, battery storage systems, industrial facilities, utilities, retail, grocery, healthcare, and other critical applications.

The acquisition of Kratos allows Legrand to offer a more robust critical power portfolio to the data center market by expanding on its existing gray space solutions, including cable bus, load banks, and cable tray, as well as complementing its leading white space power portfolio of busway, busduct, and rack power (PDU) solutions.

“Data centers are facing unprecedented pressure to build out digital infrastructure at scale and with extreme reliability,” said Pedro Mendieta, Data, Power & Control (DPC) President, Legrand, North and Central America. “By welcoming Kratos to Legrand, we are deepening our ability to serve the complete data center power train, ensuring our customers have a single, trusted partner for their entire power ecosystem.”

This transaction closed on January 22, 2026. Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP served as legal counsel to Kratos and DLA Piper LLP served as legal counsel to Legrand.
