Class VI Partners Represents Distributor Wire & Cable in Its Recapitalization by Crossplane Capital

Class VI Partners (“Class VI”) is pleased to announce the recapitalization of Distributor Wire & Cable (“DWC” or the “Company”) by Crossplane Capital (“Crossplane”), a Dallas-based private equity firm. Class VI served as the exclusive financial advisor to DWC.

“DWC is a true entrepreneurial success story, exemplifying the drive, passion, persistence, and work ethic needed to build a successful business,” said Alex Woolford, Vice President of Class VI Partners. “Beyond the impressive results, Bryce’s leadership and values shine through in the talented leadership team he has assembled—a team that mirrors his commitment, loyalty, and generosity. It was a great honor and privilege to represent DWC throughout this process and to help find a partner who shares these values and will support the Company in its next phase of growth. We are enthusiastic about the Company’s continued expansion into additional product categories, geographies, and end-markets with its new partner.”

Headquartered in Denver, Colorado, with five distribution facilities across the United States, DWC is one of the largest and fastest growing master distributors of value-added specialty wire and cable solutions to electrical distributors and wholesalers nationwide. Bryce Huett founded the Company in 2008 with the goal of developing an innovative and progressive distribution company. With a focus on specialty wire and cable, DWC provides same-day shipping and value-added services to its customers who serve end-users operating in industrial, commercial, residential, and utility end-markets.

“Class VI more than lived up to their original promise of a great experience and successful transaction if we hired them to represent us in the recapitalization of my business,” said Bryce Huett, founder of DWC. “I couldn’t be more satisfied with the level of professionalism, knowledge, and communication from everyone at Class VI. DWC was built on delivering a premium experience to our clients. Class VI is clearly built on those same principles. I can’t imagine someone navigating this process without the help of Class VI. The team made time for me during nights and weekends, and educated me throughout the process. Not only did Class VI get the deal done at a high level, it was a true pleasure to build new friendships and relationships with the Class VI team. I will be a walking testimonial for Class VI any time another entrepreneur is exploring a sale in the future.”

Mike Sullivan, Partner of Crossplane Capital, added, “We are excited to be partnering with Bryce and the DWC team at what we believe to be an inflection point for the Company. DWC’s talented management team, combined with its value proposition to both suppliers and customers, has it well positioned to take advantage of a substantial and growing market for electric wire and cable as the demand for power transmission and the consumption of electricity continue to increase throughout the U.S.”

Bryce Huett commented on his new partner, Crossplane Capital, adding that, “Since founding DWC, we have focused on building a culture of growth and collaboration, and the partnership with Crossplane will help us continue that legacy as we take the Company into its next chapter and to the next level. We look forward to continuing to bring value to our distribution partners, with even more resources and at a larger scale.”
