David Tolson

David co-founded Class VI in 2005 with his business partner Chris Younger. Together, they set the firm’s mission of Empowering the Entrepreneurial Spirit. He leads the firm’s compliance process to ensure adherence to all SEC and FINRA rules. 

Before Class VI, David founded CapitalValue, a valuation services firm providing valuations to mid-market entrepreneurs in the Rocky Mountain region. David was previously responsible for business and corporate development for several startups. Most notably, he created and ran a highly successful strategic business unit at JD Edwards, an enterprise resource planning software company. David holds the CBA (Certified Business Appraiser) designation and has been recognized as a Distinguished Member of the Institute of Business Appraisers for his commitment to the valuation profession. 

David earned a BA from Colorado State University and an MBA from the University of Colorado Denver.
